New Smyrna Beach, Florida (February 19, 2014) - A seventh place finish concluded Joey “Mooch” Mucciacciaro’s third night of racing at New Smyrna Speedway. Mucciacciaro started the night in the eleventh position in the No. 68 Grip Seminars Ford Fusion for Crooks Racing.
Mucciacciaro slipped to twelfth position just after the green was thrown. The young driver maintained his spot in the race until he could make a strategic charge to the front. Mucciacciaro, with the aid of veteran NASCAR spotter Mike Calinoff, made clean moves on his competition throughout the 35 lap event.
“The car was great – just a touch loose,” Mucciacciaro said when asked about his race. “We have a lot of racing left here at The World Series of Stock Car Racing hosted by New Smyrna Speedway, which means more chances to make some noise.”
Mucciacciaro’s next race is tonight, Feb. 19, 2014. He hopes to add another win to the one he brought home last year in the second night of racing at New Smyrna Speedway.
